BUSINESS NEWS: PIERRE AGNES SERVES AS QUIKSILVER’S CEO AFTER DIP
Outdoor sports lifestyle brand, Quiksilver Inc. has made some changes in the totem pole. Effective as of March 27th, former President Pierre Agnes rises to the rank of Chief Executive Officer. Succeeding Andy Mooney, Agnes is officially placed in the Board of Directors. Founder Bob McKnight is appointed Chairman and former APAC Region President, Greg Healy takes the President position.
On the Quiksilver team for over twenty-seven years, Agnes shows great promise in his ability and skill, which the company plans to gear nationally rather than internationally (a contribution placed by Mooney). A press release announces the changes on the midst of releasing its 2014 Q4 Financials, which shows to have dipped significantly.
“The board has great confidence in Pierre’s ability and skills to lead our company. His primary focus will be on improving operational execution and efficiencies, and identifying growth opportunities, especially in the U.S. wholesale channel,” said Bob McKnight.
