FASHION NEWS: MOSCHINO CEO LEAVES TOMORROW
Moschino CEO Alessandro Varisco will take his leave on June 30th for Canadian fashion company, Twin-Set Simona Barbieri. Varisco has been with the Italian luxury fashion house since 2009 where he was present during its massive profit growth starting 2014.
Its parent company, Aeffe, has made it public that Moschino played a major role in the company’s profitability starting 2014 – right on the cusp of Jeremy Scott’s appointment to Creative Director in late 2013.
The Jeremy Scott era has brought the Moschino brand into major recognition with fans ranging from menswear fashion icon, A$AP Rocky, to pop star, Katy Perry. It is revealed that Katy Perry will be the next face for Moschino for Fall 2015 earlier last week.
In the meantime, Moschino’s CEO duties will be taken over by Aeffo executive officer, Massimo Ferretti and Aeffo managing director/chief finance officer Marcello Tassinari.
