FASHION & STYLE: INTERNET SENSATION LILY-ROSE DEPP GETS THE CHANEL TREATMENT
It was a matter of time before, Lily-Rose Depp would star in a major campaign. The 16-year old daughter of Vanessa Paradis and Johnny Depp had been the talk of the town earlier this year after her first fashion debut at Chanel Paris/Salzburg show this April in New York. In addition to sending the internet into an uproar this summer with her witty Instagram, Depp just joined the ranks of Cara Delevingne, Kristen Stewart and her mother as a Chanel muse.
The doe-eyed teenager was seen walking the casino-themed Chanel Fall 2015 show alongside Chanel It Girls Vanessa Paradis, Rita Ora, Geraldine Chaplin, Julianne Moore and Rinko Kikuchi in July. Already vested deep into the Chanel world, Depp would represent them sooner or later: i.e. her Chanel Fall 2015 eyewear campaign.
Lagerfeld hand-picked the young starlet saying that she is “stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star.” The campaign was shot by Lagerfeld with Depp in Pearl Chanel round frames. Depp’s trademark pout created a subtle teen angst feel to the look in addition to the bubblegum pastel theme that had become trendy among Instagram girls.
