BUSINESS NEWS: LANVIN MAY BE UP FOR NEW OWNERSHIP
According to multiple sources, Parisian fashion house Lanvin may be up for sale. Majority owner, Shaw-Lan Wang has been offered figures previously but has not commented on whether she considered them. It is, however, informed that Wang has informally approached another powerful Asian family to acquire the brand.
In the past she has called the Lanvin buy a long term investment when she bought the majority stake in 2001 from L’Oreal Paris. Although very strong in the media world having had previously own the Europe Journal and the Min Sheng Bao, Wang is very private with her dealings.
There have not been any formal talks of purchasing, but this spurs big rumors for a major company change later this year.
