A Fresh New Bevy Stars for Calvin Klein’s Fall 2016 Campaign
Known to be on the risqué end of casual undergarments and ready-to-wear ads, the latest campaign for Calvin Klein features a fresh bevy of well-known stars to help propel the brand even further. In the past, the uber-racy, well-advertised brand has featured the likes of Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, Fetty Wrap, and Klara Kristin. This Fall season, the brand took a different approach and hired a series of designers, musicians, and actors ranging from editor-turned-perfumer Grace Coddington; models Kate Moss, Anna Ewers, Roos Abels, Bella Hadid, and Cuba Tornado Scott; actors Sonoya Mizuno, Margot Robbie, Lola Kirke, Zoe Kravitz, and Antoine-Olivier Pilon; and musicians Kacy Hill, Young Thug, Yung Beef, Yung Lean, and Frank Ocean to street-cast personalities like Slick and Seashell and social media stars-turned-fashion plates like Cameron Dallas and Cindy Crawford’s son Presley Gerber.
The entire campaign features an array of suggestive angled poses for the starlets in its ready-to-wear, denim, and undergarment collections; all captured effortlessly by photographer Tyrone Lebon.
The brand has stuck by its voice for the last few seasons, famous for its NSFW editorial shoots, it has pivoted the brand in a controversial yet soaring success. Considering the title on their last campaign which featured Kendall Jenner was named ‘Erotica’, it’s safe to assume they’re sticking by the image. This season the foundation of the project features over 50 intimate, short interviews and performance videos starring the many faces of the season with the tagline, “I ____ in my Calvins”.
