“BOF CAREERS” OPENS OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPRESSIVE JOB POSITIONS
Net-a-Porter founder Natalie Massenet with BoF founder Imran Amed
The Fashion Industry has been notorious for setting impossible standards in both home-base and trickling down to other platforms affecting the photography aesthetic, and the unfortunate “skinny-girl-ism.” Of course, the stereotype is only true to an extent, but a wise businessman or woman knows that genius doesn’t stop at the waist-size. The diva cliché is a double-edged sword, but that gimmick doesn’t stop the field from expanding and tackling brilliant new marketing strategies. To meet that requirement, Business of Fashion has launched their BoF Careers webpage, which is a Craigslist specifically for mouth-watering impressive job listings in the fashion industry.
A brilliant self-promoting move similar to Paula’s Choice’s Beautypedia, the BETA website is still within the BoF official page sending traffic to itself, but also promoting its international partners, including LVMH, Tory Burch, and The Net-a-Porter Group. The “Global Launch Partners” have collaborated to seek those who think outside the box, but are also within their scope. Rather than only promoting entry-level positions, companies like those aforementioned partners have been noted to list higher managerial positions like a Marketing Manager for the Ermenegildo Zegna Group in China, or an Executive Director for Design at Anya Hindmarch. Targeted towards seasoned entrepreneurs, BoF Careers is making waves for those who are seeking new perspectives, but also deserve to start from a position that is as equal or further than their veteran posts.
In addition to being compact and easy to use, the Careers page also features company highlights and profiles, admirable individuals, and industry heads to add that finishing coat on Careers‘ extensive polish. Continuing to promote their brand, their “Power Moves” and “Role Calls” sections are added alongside the listings to set the bar for what each partner expects.
